Kudos from LAURA COLLINS-HUGHES at the NEW YORK TIMES for my work in "On a Stool at the End of the Bar" at 59E59 Street Theatre with the Director's Club: "The play is written at a high emotional pitch, but Michael Parva’s calm, clear direction and Mr. Smith’s intelligent, sensitive performance are impressive in bringing it under control."
Also shot a sweet Fidelity in-house film with Paul Stone and Warrior Poets. I got to run around with cows. Very charismatic, fame-hungry cows.
A bit further back, I got another shot at charming Bill Sikes in Trinity Rep's Oliver! directed by Richard Jenkins. Amazing, inspiring experience.
And catch me in The Judge in the police station scene with Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. And The Equalizer as Gilly. I extort some nice lady and get my head smashed by Denzel Washington. Both Movies open this Fall.
